For awhile, my old laptop has been having some major issues in terms of how well it runs, how long the battery holds any amount of life, and the the keys sticking (or falling off). We discussed computer buying options and finally decided that we'd get a new computer (just the computer; we already have a twenty four inch monitor) that John would use, and I would take over his fairly new HP laptop. The only issue with that is that the keyboard on the HP is having some issues, too, but since it's under warranty, we're going to send it in and have the keyboard replaced.

This weekend Andy and Cherie have been visiting us, and that's been a lot of fun (even though we really haven't done anything other than eat and play Mario Kart). They leave tomorrow morning, John will work for two days, and then we'll head to his grandparent's house (a little over an hour away) for Thanksgiving.

John has to be up at 3:45AM and at Best Buy by 4:30 for Black Friday (thank you oh so much corporate retail). I haven't decided if I'm going to do some shopping or not-- we really don't need anything. I really do not expect the crowds (or traffic) to be nearly as insane as they are in Tennessee, so it could be fun actually having the ability to maneuver through a store and get a good deal on a scarf or sweater. Or Nintendo DS.
